A guide for setting up SwirlyMMS

It seems a few people are having problems making SwirlyMMS work. I thought I’d do a little post, using my T-Mobile iPhone as an example. Obviously the settings will be slightly different, but I’ll also be giving you the details for other networks too.  First off, you’ll be needing to add the source to your installer, otherwise you won’t get very far ! Add www.swirlyspace.com/SwirlySpace.xml and install.

Now you’re going to want to make sure that you’ve got your GPRS/EDGE settings correct. These are in Settings>General>Network. Obviously these will change depending on network, but I’ll link to where you can get the info at the bottom of the post.

Once that’s set you should be able to get at web pages etc with WIFI turned off. Now to fire up SwirlyMMS In here you want to select the ‘Settings’ button. Now you’ve got some more details to enter

MMSC and Proxy are the only ones needed, as you’ve just set the rest up through the iPhone’s settings. Now you should be able to take and send images as MMS messages. network details are below:

Great tip! - This had me up and running in no time at all. Just one point though. I had to input MMS details into the bottom form, while keeping my edge (GPRS) details in my iPhones network settings.
