Nintendo:Not as innocent as we thought?

I‘ve just stumbled across this little head scratcher online and thought I’d share with the group. Remember all those rumours flying round when we were kids about random rudeness inserted into Disney films? The porn film on the TV in The Rescuers, Aladdin saying ’suck me’ to Jasmine and so forth? Well, it seems that yet another family friendly brand may have fallen victim to a disgruntled, underpaid employee with a naughty side.

Take a look at this close up from the cover of Super Mario Galaxy

See the little orange spangle on the bottom left of the u in Super? You do? Good. Now, follow the words along, remembering (or writing down for the mentally challenged) every letter with it’s own spangly thing. Now, put it together and what d you get? URMRGAY. Or for those of us not familiar with 16 year old chav txtspk, you are mr gay.

Random coincidence that comes from letting Japanese designers work on English covers? Or Nintendo’s true opinion of the grown men who 20 years on can’t leave the fat little plumber behind? Sadly, I suspect the former. Be brill if they were really calling you all gay though! (N.B I’m allowed to play Mario cause I’m a girl, before you start)
