The tool a lot of people have been waiting for, pwnage by the iPhone dev team, has been delayed by at least a week. There are currently legal issues surrounding the “validity and legality of the contents of the tools”. The iPhone dev team however is adamant they will not release any third-party copyright materials.

The tool will allow people to download and install pre-jailbroken/unlocked firmwares and install them directly through iTunes. Obviously this is preferable to flashing your iPhone, then waiting for a hack to be released. All in all, it promises to be a very useful tool for many. Let’s hope it’s not too far off !
