A study released today by Rubicon Consulting claims that nearly half of the 460 randomly selected iPhone users have third-party apps on their phones, with 10% admitting to running on an operator other than AT&T.

Amongst other findings of note:

  • Email and read email is the most frequently used non-voice function
  • 40% say Safari struggles with some sites they visit
  • Unsurprisingly, people want flash!

There’s many more interesting findings, along with some nicely coloured tables and graphs to be found at the source of the story here.
