O2 sells out of iPhones – Lesson learned?

In what is surely the least surprising news of the decade, 02 have apparently sold out of iPhones since they slashed £100 off the price. Fancy that. take something that everyone had said they wouldn’t buy because it was overpriced, take the price down by over a third, and everyone buys one !
One O2 employee is quoted by mobiletoday.co.uk as saying:
‘We usually sell one or two a day, but yesterday we sold about 20 – it was like launch day again.’
With another, working from the Oxford Street flagship store stating that sales of the iPhone had doubled from around 30 to 60 units per day.
I’m sat here hoping that O2 and Apple will maybe learn their lesson, and launch the 3G iPhone at a lower price point.
Have you recently bought an iPhone thanks to the price cut? Would you have ever bought one at the old price point? Let us know in the comments section…..
