We’re all waiting for the same thing, and that thing’s got to be the 3G iPhone. One questions I’ve found myself asking though is whether we’re actually going to notice that much of a real world difference.
It looks like I’m not the only one too ! The guys over on iphonealley.com are reporting that Applicando have published a speed comparison video between two iPhones, one on EDGE and one on HSDPA. Now before everyone gets excited, it wasn’t a really 3G iPhone, but a Huawei E172 HSPDA modem card plugged into an iMac and then shared over WiFi. Video below !
Obviously the accuracy of this test has to come into question, but if it’s even close we’re in for a pretty impressive speed bump from a 3G iPhone. I might have to upgrade after-all !
