As I’m sure a few of you know, my iPhone Twitter app of choice is Twinkle. I like the geo-location feature, and the way it displays @ replies etc. I’ve run into a problem over the last few days though that’s pushed me over to Hahlo, at least for now.

At seemingly random times of the day, Twinkle will fail to log in stating that there is currently some kind of server error. Both the official Twitter site and Hahlo both work fine however, so it must be Twinkle specific. Anyone else getting this or is it just me?

The upshot of all this is I’ve been using Hahlo more and more. The thing I like about Hahlo is there’s no need to wait for an app to load and log in every time you want to post an update. I know you can also use the Twitter site, and yes that does have an iPhone specific version too. The thing is it’s just nowhere near as nicely presented, and certainly not as intuitive. Now if only it had geo-location too……
