Ever wondered if a website is actually down or it’s just you?

Have you ever sat trying to load a website or page and wondered if you’re the only one having the problem? I have, just this afternoon in fact. I’ve been trying to access paulstamatiou.com (you OK over there Paul?)but getting server connection errors. At this point I thought it was just my connection or BeThere having some sort of DNS issue. Wouldn’t it be great if there was some way of knowing if it’s a local problem, or if the interweb at large is suffering too?

This is where downforeveryoneorjustme.com comes in. Surf to the url, enter the address of this site you’re trying to connect to and hit ENTER. Downforeveryoneorjustme then goes off and checks the site from their end. If it works, its just you. If it doesn’t the problem lies elsewhere. This thing is genius ! I can’t believe I’m only just finding out about it.

Suffice it to say downforeveryoneorjustme.com now has pride of place in my bookmarks folder. You might want to do the same !
