Safari 3 vs. Firefox 3

26 May, 2008 (11:28) Posted by Justin | ,

Ever since the beginning, I have always used Safari on my Mac. But, after trying the new Firefox 3, I think I’ve fallen in love.

After a bit of testing, it is true Safari is a RAM hog. This is with Safari and Firefox both open, showing the iBlog home page: According to Activity Monitor, Safari is using 243.54mb of memory and Firefox 52.23mb. Not only that, but Firefox looks a lot nicer now:

So it’s worth giving it a try to see if you like it. It certainly feels faster to me.

Download it from here, and see the release notes here.

Am I the only one not using a widescreen monitor!?

Might try FF out when I get home.
