I’m sure I’m not the only person suffering this bug, so I’m posting about it here in the feint hope that someone, somewhere will have a fix !

I always have my iPhone set to check for new email messages every 15 minutes. This used to work fine, and I’d be notified of new messages by the little bubble above the mail icon. All was well with the world. Of late however, I’ve noticed that it isn’t always checking for new mail on its own, and needs a bit of prompting by myself. If I open mail, the ‘last checked’ time could be hours ago. Opening the app forces it to check for new mail as normal, until 15 minutes later when nothing happens again.

Usually a reboot temporarily fixes the issue, but soon enough it’s rearing its ugly head once more. Unfortunately I can’t think of any apps I’ve installed that could have something to do with it, and I’m certainly loathe to do a restore and start all over again. It’s amazing how many apps you install and don’t even realise you need them !
