This maybe not ‘hot news’ direct from Apple, but it certainly is for me. I’ve taken the plunge and ordered my first ever Mac Pro.

My story of switching began in 2005 with a Mac Mini, I was over joyed to finally own a Macintosh. This soon was replaced with the very first Intel iMac in 2006. This finally was the move I wanted, an all-in-one with no tinkering needed. Worked straight out of the box and I never looked back!. Skip forward to August 2007 I ordered the new alumi iMac (24″ 2.8GHz Model), again such a pleasure to use.

Now its May 2008, and I’m ready for the next level. Thus, as of Tuesday 27th May, I ordered my Mac Pro.

To be precise the model is as follows:

3.2GHz Quad Core x2

2GB (8GB On Order Soon!)

500GB HDD (Again, this is to change.)

512MB 8800GT (Simply a must!)

Wireless Keyboard & Wireless Might Mouse.

SuperDrive (x2)

Airport Extreme.

You would be surprised having spent such a large amount of money that it doesn’t actually include a monitor! This is again another purchase that will be needed before I can get going.

I will keep you posted with pictures and comments when this dream system arrives, and performance results / comparisons when up and running.

That’s it for now, but I just want to finish by saying this. Being an Apple fan can seriously harm your bank balance & your wallet.

But god, its exciting!
