Mac OS X – it speaks !
Eeaster Eggs, everyone loves ‘em ! OS X has one of the best, and I posted it over on Lifehacker just now.
Fire up Terminal and type in ‘say hello world’ without the quotes and hit return. You should now be treated to the sound of your mac saying hello to, well, the world. Was it the first Mac that did that?

Any other interesting things like that? Let us know if you have any.

I particularly like the “Funeral march” tone
Terminal
In Terminal type “say -vGood xxxx xxxx xxxx” (xxx = any text you want). This will make your Mac sing you the phrase to the tune of “Land of Hope and Glory”
Equally, type “say -vBad xxxx xxxx xxxx” (xxx – any text you want). This will make your Mac sing you the phrase to the tune of the “Funeral March”
Other Terminal goodies include typing “open -e/usr-share/calendar/calendar.history”, this will make your Mac spit out some interesting dates from history… ORRRR… try adding the .lotr bit at the end, instead of .history (for some Lord of the Rings dates)
That’s awesome.
That is absolutely amazing… good find
