3G iPhone photos surface, O2 send out pre-order texts.
You’d think something new was getting released soon…..
Engadget are currently hosing a couple of pictures of the 3G iPhone being unboxed by some nice Portuguese person. Thankfully they saw fit to take pictures and spread them worldwide as any self respecting Apple fan would.

The Engadget article also features a photo of the sim card removal tool. That’s right folks, sales of paperclips and pins will no doubt be slowing across the globe, for now we have a ‘proper’ tool for getting into our new toys.
In related news, O2 have been sending texts and emails out to people, trying to get them to sign up online for the impending 3G iPhone. That’s all well and good, but the whole thing seems to have descended into farce as per usual. The web site doesn’t seem to have worked too well, with people unable to complete the order process, and others not receiving confirmation emails. How did you get on?
So far I’ve managed to resist the urge to start camping outside the nearest store, and until I see reports of actual handsets being unlocked for use on other carriers I’ll continue to love and cherish my current model. Remember people, an iPhone’s not just for Christmas….oh hang on…..
