5 App Store apps that should be on your iPhone - part 3
NetNewsWire
Sorry for the delay in posting application number 3 of ‘5 App Store apps that should be on your iPhone’. I’ll try not to slack so much in future !
I know I’m a bit behind the times, but I’ve only just started using RSS on a regular basis. It’s proving a great way to keep on top of news and articles from other blogs whilst at work: I can just fire up one app instead of having to browse each site individually.
The current RSS reader of choice for me on the iPhone is NetNewsWire. While the interface isn’t very snazzy, it does what’s needed of it with little fuss. My favourite feature is the inbuilt browser, meaning you don’t have to leave the application should you find an article you want to read in its entirety.
The best thing for me though, is its integration with Newsgator. I’m using Newsgator inside a fluid.app browser on the desktop, so the syncing between that and the iPhone is great for me.
NetNewsWire is free, which is always a bonus !

I’ve just started NNW on my mac and I’m loving the sync with the iPhone version. I use it mostly for looking at headlines on my iphone from ‘heavy’ sites like TUAW or Engadget.
