It’s been a while since I posted on the-iBlog, and after listening to a few podcasts this afternoon, I thought I’d throw something up for both our visitors to read.

TWiT’s Net@Night podcast pointed me in the direction of Mix Turtle, an online music search and playback tool.

The idea is very simple. Search for an artist or track name and you’ll be presented with a list of songs. From here you can either add them to a playlist, or simply click the title and watch in amazement as the whole track is streamed via the magic of the internet.

I tried a few searches for things like ‘Feeder’ and other popular bands, along with some more rare stuff. Searching for ‘Wing sings’ brought up a couple of tracks by the wonderful Wing Han Tsang (曾詠韓) If you’ve not heard any of her stuff be sure to have a listen, it’s hilarious !

So that’s Mix Turtle. I’ll be using for when I’m told about a song I should give a listen to, and I want a quick and easy way to hear it. Let me know if you’ve got any useful ways to take advantage of Mix Turtle either on Twitter or in the comments.
