Nokia E71 - another possible iPhone killer?

27 October, 2008 (19:18) | , | 5 comments

I still find it slightly funny that two years after its original release, we’re still looking for an iPhone killer. It seems that every new smartphone from one of the major manufacturers is touted as the phone we’ll all be selling our iPhones for. So far, it’s not happened.

Enter the Nokia E71, Nokia […]

So I admit it, I’m a Twitter addict. I’m not ashamed of it either.
I’ve also got a spare photo keychain knocking around, new and still boxed. Can you see where this is going yet?

Yup, you guess it. Following in the footsteps of @kevinrose and @alexalbrecht I’m offering free goodies in exchange […]

So the event’s come and gone with pretty much what we expected. Not entirely what I was hoping for, but hopefully everyone will be happy with their new Macbook Pros.

So Tuesday sees the Apple notebook event, and the end of what seems like months of Macbook speculation. Everyone seems to want something different too.

I listen to […]

Leaving it as late as they could, Apple has sent out invites today to a special notebook event at their Cupertino campus on October 14th with the headline on the teaser reading “The spotlight turns to notebooks”.
The Apple conference call a few months ago mentioned that the Q3 profits would take a hit, and it […]

8 October, 2008 (21:56) | , , , | 1 comment

Suprised? No? Me neither.
Ever since Microsoft stopped (See: canned) production of the HD-DVD drives for the Xbox 360, rumors have been floating around the internet (and certainly amongst the console forums) that Blu-ray inclusion would be all but confirmed. The question was always “when”, now we know.
Originally Microsoft had stated that they “have no plans to go […]
