Build a battery powered USB charger
I watch a lot of video podcasts, and most of them are made by the guys over at Revision3. One of said podcasts is Systm, hosted by Patrick Norton and friends.
Systm is a show dedicated to giving you the skills and knowledge needed to build funky things, or just do funky things such as stream video over the internet/upgrade your laptop’s hard drive. It’s a great podcasts and one I highly recommend you watch. But I digress….
While catching up on episode’s I hadn’t seen yet I spied one that promised to show me how to build a handy battery powered USB charger. What with neither my iPhone nor my Mum’s G1 being too clever in the battery department this piqued my interest. After watching it I’m on the hunt for a cheap soldering iron and circuit boards !
I’ve imbedded the video below for your viewing pleasure. If you like it you can subscribe through iTunes as normal. Also be sure to check out other Revision3 goodness such as Tekzilla and Diggnation !
Enjoy.
