I regularly get asked what podcasts I listen to be it iPhone related, Mac related or about gaming. I’ve been meaning to put this post on the blog for a while now, so here it is. This is a list of my 5 favourite Apple podcasts, and is in no order whatsoever.

MacBreak Weekly

Hosted by Leo Laporte, MacBreak Weekly is, somewhat unsurprisingly, a weekly look at all thinks Macintosh and iPhone.
Leo is joined by other industry commentators and internet personalities such as Andy Inhatko, Scott Bourne and Alex Lindsay. It’s a great podcast for picking up useful applications and Audible.com book recommendations.

The Mac Observer’s Mac Geek Gab

Mac Geek Gab is a great podcast to listen to if you want to learn about your Mac. Dave Hamilton and John F. Braun talk about the week’s news but also take email questions and answer them in a way that means you don’t need to be an expert to understand. Again, MGG is released weekly.

Mac OS Ken

Presented by Ken Ray, Mac OS Ken is a daily magazine show covering all the news from the week in Cupertino, along with Ken’s unique commentary. The main podcast is free, but there’s also a paid for version called ‘Day 6′. Released on the 6th day of the week “hence the name!’, Day 6 features interviews and a recap of the week’s news. day 6 costs just $10 a month.

ScreenCastsONLINE

The only video podcast to make my list, ScreenCastsONLINE is hosted by Don McAllister and provides video tips for all things Mac. Covering everything from simple keyboard shortcuts for OS X to advanced usage of OmniFocus, Don manages to make his 20-odd minute screencasts both informational and easy to understand at the same time. Highly, highly recommended for experienced OS X users and newbies alike. Most episodes are free, but there is also a subscription model which includes even more HD tutorials for $57 a year. SCO is available in both iPod and HD formats.

So there you have it, 5 of my favourite Apple podcasts.
I imagine we all listen to similar podcasts already, but I’d love to hear if you have any suggestions for podcasts I should add to my iTunes library. Fire me a message over in the comments, or send me an @ reply on Twitter.
