An invitation: South Yorkshire Tweetup !

It seems you can’t read a page of tweets these days without there being some sort of tweetup, and everyone I talk to tells me they’re great fun, and a wonderful way of making new friends. This got me thinking. Is it time for a tweetup of our own ?

Things are still very much in their early stages – we’ve got a venue of Sheffield (that’s as specific as it gets !), but no date as yet. I’m looking to get rough numbers before we look at possible venues/meeting points. Remember, just because it’s a South Yorkshire Tweetup doesn’t mean you can’t come from further afield. The more the merrier !

Both myself (@theiBlog) and my fiancée (@rejackson) will be arranging things, so I’m looking for a show of hands in the comments section. Can I please have a yay or nay, your Twitter username and a real name ? It’d be handy if you made sure you are following both myself and Rachel so we can DM you when needed.

If you have any good ideas for a venue please feel free to drop me a line, either through the contact page on the blog, or Twitter. The more ideas the better ! Oh, and when tweeting about the tweetup, please use the hashtag #syorkstweetup so I can track them all
