About
What is the-iBlog?
The-iBlog was first created as a place for me to put my thoughts on both Apple and iPhone news. The site went live proper on March 31st. Over the weeks since then I’ve enlisted the help of some very helpful people from the OCUK Forums, each bringing something different to the table.
Since then the-iBlog has started to change. We now cover a wider range of news and articles, including social media and/or networking and other Web 2.0 wonders. My thinking behind this is your average Apple fan is like me. We like all things new and shiny, and what’s newer or shinier than all the funky new Web 2.0 startups out there? Below is a little more info on each of us, with more to come over the next few days and weeks.

I am a 25 year old fan of pretty much anything that requires either a plug or batteries to work ! I’m fast becoming a fan of all kinds of social media/networking too, with perhaps a slight addiction to Twitter !
The only Apple hardware I own is an 8GB 2.5G iPhone, unlocked and working fine on T-Mobile (UK). My iPhone is what prompted me to start the-iBlog. After dabbling a little in a personal weblog, I then shifted focus to a more iPhone based site. Now the-iBlog is a place for not only iPhone news and tips, but also news on Apple and technology in general along with all the internet news that matters.

My mac journey began just over 6 months ago with the purchase of a macbook, quickly followed by Time Capsule, a Cinema Display and most recently an iPhone! In fact, I cant remember a time in my 23 years of existence that has not involved computers of some type!
I’m really enjoying my apple transition and if I didn’t have to use Windows in work, I wouldn’t!
I’ll be mainly writing about all sorts mac related and anything else that takes my fancy along the way….
Oh..and I like kittens.

I am 23 years old, and have a 1st class honours degree in BSc(Hons) Sound Technology, but currently work as a Health and Safety officer while I save funds towards my own recording studio (currently being built)

I’m a student studying Aerospace Engineering and am working towards getting a job with the big boys down at Gatwick.
My main interests are aviation, technology, blogging (obviously), moderating over at OcUK, gaming on the 360, cooking and I also love animals.
Ever since I can remember, I had always wanted a Mac. I got my first Apple product in 2004 which was an iPod Mini, which I then eventually sold to buy an 60GB iPod Photo. When the iPod videos came out, I sold the Photo and bought one of them (30GB). By this time I had a Mac and was in with the ’sell everything in anticipation for the next gen’ which most Mac users have. This happened and I currently have an 80GB Classic.
My first and current Mac is a MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz, 8600M GT, 160GB HDD, 2GB RAM, which I bought on the day it was released and although my original plan was to sell it after a year and buy a Mac Pro, I no longer feel the need as it really is a wonderful machine.
I also own a 8GB iPhone, which I bought back in December 2007. It is, of cause, Jailbroken and I am currently awaiting the new 3G iPhone with money in the bank waiting. Roll on WWDC!
