LEGO Brings Physical Toys to the Digital World

Everyone loves LEGO, and I'm no different, so it was with great excitement that I read about Life of George, a new LEGO game that incorporates real, physical LEGO bricks with the magical (and revolutionary, of course) world of the iPhone.

Our Xbox 360 Wedding Cake

As some of you may know, my fiancée and I got married last week and we wanted a wedding cake that reflected our personalities a little more than the usual three-tier floral affair. After visiting the excellent Creative Icing we were confident they could put together what we wanted - a wedding cake in the shape of an Xbox 360. What we received was beyond even our wildest dreams and as the photos show, they put together one hell of a fancy cake complete with myself and Rachel sat atop the machine with iPad and PSP in-hand. It's all in the details folks!

More Playbook video – impressive indeed

Much has been made of the lack of real hands-on videos of the Blackberry Playbook, with some even going so far as to call it vapourware. Here’s a new video of the thing in the flesh (thanks for Boy Genius Report) – and it’s got a few party tricks to show off!

Things I [...]

Chromium OS, on an iPad?

Chromium – Google’s OS designed for netbooks and presumably tablets – appears to have been ported to the iPad by well-known hacker Hexxeh.

I say appears, as so far there’s only a photo as proof, but it sure looks legit.

Chromium for those who [...]

Want to charge your iPad from any USB port?

I posted this over on Touch Reviews this afternoon (did I say I’m their newest writer?) and thought people here would be interested too.

We’ve all experienced the problem of our iPads not charging from most USB ports. It turns out the iPad needs 10v to charge, and most USB ports can’t deliver it. [...]

iOS 4.2 & Printing from an iPad (video)

Today finally saw the release of the first beta of iOS 4.2 on both the iPad and iPhone. One of the most interesting things for a lot of people is the inclusion of the new printing feature, which is something many of us have wanted since we first learned of Apple’s tablet device at the [...]

iPhone 3G meets the washing machine & lives on!

If you follow me on Twitter, the chances are you read about our iPhone 3G finding its way into the washing machine on a 60 degree (Celsius) spin cycle! Much panicking ensued, and an old T-Mobile G1 was even pressed into service as a temporary device. We were not happy.

24 hours later, and I’m bored. Off [...]
